Who we are: a community for Jewish professionals across cannabis
Jews in Weed (JIW) is a community-driven initiative that unites Jewish professionals across the cannabis industry, from executives and founders to consultants, creatives and advocates.
Why does a Jewish cannabis community exist?
Because the people doing this work kept finding each other anyway. At every trade show there was the same moment: two strangers discover a shared grandmother's brisket recipe or a summer camp in the Poconos, and suddenly the conversation is easier. Jews in Weed turns that accident into a standing invitation.
Our events have become a touchstone for people looking for connection at the intersection of identity, cannabis and culture. Nobody checks your level of observance at the door. Some members keep kosher. Some showed up for the bagels and stayed for the people. Allies come too.
What do we actually do?
We host high-energy, early-morning networking events called Bagel Bashes at major cannabis conferences nationwide. They are joyful, authentic and buzzing with conversation before the show starts. The community also convenes at industry gatherings, around Jewish cultural moments, and at regional pop-ups led by JIW regional chairs.
Between events we publish a newsletter twice a month and the Highly Kosher Professionals Q&A series, which grew out of our JewWhoTokes roots.

Who comes to a Jews in Weed gathering?
Every role in a cannabis company, and the people who serve them.
Operators and founders
Dispensary owners, cultivators and brand founders comparing notes on what is working in their markets this quarter.
Advisors and service providers
Attorneys, CPAs, bankers, insurance brokers and payroll teams. Several of our sponsors come from exactly this group.
Creatives, media and advocates
Marketers, writers, photographers and policy voices who shape how the industry is seen from the outside.

How is the community run?
Jews in Weed runs on volunteers and sponsors. Regional chairs lead pop-ups in their own markets, hosts like Luna Stower carry the Bash to new cities, and partner organizations such as the Long Island Capital Alliance, High Times, Cannademix and Accelerate Cannabis co-produce gatherings with us.
Sponsors cover the bagels, the coffee and the room. In return they get something most event sponsorships cannot offer: a morning with people who actually want to talk. See how sponsorship works.
How do I get involved?
Start with the newsletter, then come to a Bash. If you want to host one in your city, pitch a Highly Kosher profile, or partner on an event, get in touch.
